birdman.jpg Bryan "Birdman" Williams recently stood up for himself on BET’s 106 & Park after receiving backlash for comments he made about Lil’ Wayne being a better emcee that Jay-Z.

Williams hit up the popular TV show for an interview, where he explained why he still feels Wayne is the better than the New York icon.

"Well I feel like, as far as number one to me, that don’t really matter, it’s about who makes the most money and do the most," Baby explained in an interview. "I think my son do the most, rap the most, he do the most shows, we do the most so if we do the most, how could you be number one if you ain’t making the most? No, no, [beef]. Nothing personal, they just asked me my opinion and that was my opinion. I think we do the most and make the most, so if you don’t like it, that’s on you. Lil’ Wayne Pleads Guildty To Gun Charges, Facing One Year In Jail

Wayne has reportedly entered into a plea deal and, according to the New York Post, will be facing a one-year stint behind bars.

At press time, the rapper was scheduled to be formally sentenced sometime in 2010.

Yo! Raps previously reported on Wayne’s legal trouble in New York when reports emerged about the rapper being linked to the gun through DNA evidence.

Rick Ross sat down for an interview with RealTalkNY.com, offering his take on the beef with 50 Cent. Despite his foe’s disrespectful antics with the mother of his child and numerous videos spoofing his career, Ross says he’s taken him down just as "David beat Goliath."

"After you crush such a huge donkey, you have to reap the benefits of going to war. Just like when David beat Goliath, I’m pretty sure when he went back to town the ladies had bread and wine and he fornicated and it was just the best life," Ross said.

dj_am.jpg DJ AM was laid to rest today (September 2) in Los Angeles during a private ceremony for turntables close friends and family.
A funeral for DJ AM, born Adam Goldstein, started at 3:00 PM at the Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary, a prominent Jewish cemetery in West Los Angeles.

DJ AM, 36, was found dead in his New York apartment last Friday (August 31).

tupac_1_0.jpg The battle between Afeni Shakur’s Amaru Entertainment and film company Morgan Creek Productions rages on over the making of a bio-pic about rapper Tupac Shakur.

The two companies are locked in litigation over a movie on the life of Tupac Shakur. In a lawsuit filed last February, Morgan Creek accused Amaru of breaching a contract to produce a movie about Shakur, who was gunned down on the Las Vegas strip in September of 1996.

Amaru filed a cross-complaint against Morgan Creek, claiming the production company interfered with other potential deals for the movie.
Lawyers claim that Morgan Creek attempted to block other interested film companies from being involved in the film, by claiming to have exclusive rights to produce the untitled flick.

Now, the popular songwriter will bring that technology to the iPhone via a partnership with Antares Audio Technologies. Dubbed “I Am T-Pain,” the phone app will give the user the full capabilities of the Auto-Tune technology.

With it, fans can record their own versions of T-Pain hits like “Bartender,” “Dream Girl,” and “I’m Sprung.”

Once completed, the user can upload their songs to various social networking sites like Facebook and Youtube.
