Respected Hip-Hop DJ, DJ Khaled, has recently signed to one of the most hyped record labels, Cash Money Records.

Khaled revealed his new partnership with Cash Money little by little via Twitter. He tweeted pictures throughout the day stating that he was on his way to a “big meeting”, and pictures of him with Cash Money CEO Birdman and Co-Founder Slim.

Khaled then tweeted, “It’s getting serious, my Lawyer Theo and Cash Money Lawyer Vernin Brown just landed from a helicopter to make this meeting! $wethebestforever”.

Timbaland responded to reports that suggested he was contemplating suicide via a phone interview with Ryan Seacrest’s radio show yesterday (August 25) morning. According to the hit producer, while the incident that set off a police manhunt did stem from a robbery, a watch was not involved and at no point was he ever considering killing himself.

“People steal from me all the time,” said Tim to Seacrest. “Something did happen. That wasn’t a watch. It was something else.”

In an interview with MTV News, Swizz Beatz talked about his married life with newly wed Alicia Keys. The couple tied the knot last summer on an island in the Mediterranean, after signing the papers in New York before sailing to Italy.

Swizz Beatz, who will soon become a father, revealed that getting married to Alicia has been a blessing for him and that they are connected on a spiritual level. Also, the hit producer asserted that, "I’m not into the names and the superstars and this and that. I’ve been around that my whole life. It means nothing to me. It’s just about great people."

Just a few weeks after a tangle with Jeezy, Rick Ross has released a new song that seemingly takes aim at Slim Thug. King Boss, a track that wasn’t featured on his latest project, Teflon Don, mostly features the Miami-based MC talking about women but on one line he talks about a chick that left Thug for “the biggest boss.”

“I be in it for a minute/ She dated Slim Thug but now she f*ck with me,” raps Ross on the track. “She finally made it to the biggest boss, luckily/ Rick Ross, see my life dog, similar to Phife Dawg’s.”

Jay-Z has been named as the highest-earning man in hip-hop, for the third time in four years.

According to the annual Cash Kings list compiled by Forbes, the On To The Next One rapper earned $63 million in the last 12 months.

The huge amount was earned thanks to Jay’s Blueprint 3 tour, his record label, fashion line, sports bars chain and his share in the New York Nets.

Coming in at number two in the list is P Diddy with $30 million, followed by Akon and Lil’ Wayne, who earned $21 million and $20 million respectively.

T.I. admits that he doesn’t go out as much as he used to since he was released from jail earlier this year, because he doesn’t feel safe when he isn’t carrying a gun.

The rap star recently spent time behind bars after being sentenced for illegal fire arms possession, stemming back to an arrest in 2007.

At the time the Live Your Life hitmaker claimed he purchased the weapons as he feared for his safety - and now says he won’t risk his life if he can’t protect himself.

This weekend, Lil Wayne again reached out to his fans and supporters through a letter written from prison.

In his fifth letter correspondence from jail, Weezy said that although sometimes the days go by slowly, he’s doing his best to stay positive.
