Timbaland Preps For Release Of “Shock Value II”
Timbaland is about to drop the follow-up to his 2007 solo debut Shock Value, chock full of guest appearances from some unusual suspects like Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry.
Timbaland will reprise his role as the mind behind such hit songs like One Republic’s Apologize with the new LP due in stores at the end of next month.
"I’m so fortunate and blessed to be able to create a Shock Value II," Tim said via in a press release. "I’m really proud of the caliber of artists on this album and all the work they put into making it a success. I can promise that no one has ever heard Katy Perry, The Fray, or Brandy sound like this before. It’s exciting because not only am I giving fans the best of me on each track, I’m giving them a glimpse of their favorite artist in a completely different light. This is an album that can be listened to from start to finish every single time because each song is so unique and the range of artists so diverse. I can’t wait for my fans to hear the collaborations."
Tim’s second attempt at increasing the value of shock will also include appearances from Nelly Furtado, Drake, and Keri Hilson.
At press time, there was no word on the fate of the recently leaked Jay-Z/Keri Hilson joint project, Rumors.
Shock Value II will drop on November 23 via Music Group/Blackground Records/Interscope Records.
