French is not good for hip hop music.It is too soft for it.You’ve already got great musicians in other genres like Pop.

It depends on who you listen to. Obviously you can’t rap on american beats in french, but they are some good french rapper that know to associate the right beat with the right rhymes. Listen to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj3AyfNgh5E
