New R. Kelly Album “Untitled” Gets Release Date

r_kelly1.jpg Three-time Grammy winner R. Kelly is on the cusp of releasing his tenth studio album Untitled due in stores December 1, with his latest single Religious hitting airwaves on the heels of his critically acclaimed U.S. tour.

Building the anticipation for the album are two back-to-back powerful singles. R. Kelly recently made music history with his current single Number One featuring Keri Hilson when the song became his 35th Top 10 single on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart. He has now surpassed Nat "King" Cole’s record of having the most Top 10 hits on that chart, and Billboard further notes that "Kelly’s climb places him sixth among male artists and ties him with Dinah Washington for eighth overall since the R&B chart was established in 1942."

dj_am.jpg DJ AM was laid to rest today (September 2) in Los Angeles during a private ceremony for turntables close friends and family.
A funeral for DJ AM, born Adam Goldstein, started at 3:00 PM at the Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary, a prominent Jewish cemetery in West Los Angeles.

DJ AM, 36, was found dead in his New York apartment last Friday (August 31).

Fight Over New Tupac Movie!

tupac_1_0.jpg The battle between Afeni Shakur’s Amaru Entertainment and film company Morgan Creek Productions rages on over the making of a bio-pic about rapper Tupac Shakur.

The two companies are locked in litigation over a movie on the life of Tupac Shakur. In a lawsuit filed last February, Morgan Creek accused Amaru of breaching a contract to produce a movie about Shakur, who was gunned down on the Las Vegas strip in September of 1996.

Amaru filed a cross-complaint against Morgan Creek, claiming the production company interfered with other potential deals for the movie.
Lawyers claim that Morgan Creek attempted to block other interested film companies from being involved in the film, by claiming to have exclusive rights to produce the untitled flick.

T-Pain Puts Auto-tune On IPhone

t_pain For the last several years, T-Pain’s Auto-Tune centered sound has dominated the Hip-Hop and R&B markets.

Now, the popular songwriter will bring that technology to the iPhone via a partnership with Antares Audio Technologies. Dubbed “I Am T-Pain,” the phone app will give the user the full capabilities of the Auto-Tune technology.

With it, fans can record their own versions of T-Pain hits like “Bartender,” “Dream Girl,” and “I’m Sprung.”

Once completed, the user can upload their songs to various social networking sites like Facebook and Youtube.

Kon Artist D12_1.jpg D12 members Kon Artis and Kuniva have run afoul with the IRS, joining a plentiful list of celebrities facing the same situation.

Of the two, Kuniva and his wife owe $137,702 in taxes on income earned from 2004-2006. Kuniva also owes $16,590 to the state of Michigan.

Kon Artist, aka Denaun Porter, owes $61,501 for unpaid taxed. In an interview with the Detroit News, he revealed that his debt could be wiped out in as little as two months.

Combs has been tapped to serve as host of the release party, which will take place at New York hot spot Santos Party House.

Legendary DJ Kid Capri and Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg will spin at the event, which is being sponsored by Littles and Raekwon’s Ice H20 Records.

“I’m excited about this project. This is a true evolution from where we began,” Raekwon said. “I’m also overwhelmed by the love and support that I’ve received. My long time friend and Hip-Hop veteran, Diddy reached out to offer his support and agreed to host the event.”

Fabolous was in town to promote his latest album/movie Loso’s Way. The rapper performed without incident inside the Crocodile Rock Café in downtown Allentown.
Around 2:30 AM this morning (August 23), gunfire erupted in the parking lot, injuring a man and a woman.

Both victims were transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Their conditions were not immediately available.

Paul Wall, and Florida-based DJ Smallz, departed Washington, DC on a mission to show their support for US troops deployed in Southwest Asia.

The trip, which was announced earlier this week, has been a year in the making, revealed Paul Wall, who previously visited Kuwait and Iraq on separate USO tours.

“This was actually something that Smallz has been wanting to do,” Paul Wall told AllHipHop.com. “We’ve been going back and forth, trying to find the right time to go. But you know, we’ll get last minute shows and things like that. We finally decided to just pick a date.”

The new foundation’s goal is to provide creative and social outlets for at risk teens, in an attempt to steer them away from drugs and gangs.

"As a youth I had one teacher who really pushed me to be the best and gave me an outlet to really feel like I could be somebody – and I became successful partly because of his belief in me,” Snoop Dogg told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “I want to give that to the kids so they know there is more to life than the street hustle or crime. I have been friends with Tommy the Clown for years and see what he has done for so many people; this partnership is very important to me."

Magazeen is the only dancehall act signed to Ross’ Maybach Music Group (MMG) and his music is a fusion of dancehall, Hip-Hop , R&B and pop music.
While they are on the island, the pair will shoot three video for the songs “Psalms 27,” “Sevens Eleven” and “Real Jamaicans.”

"I’m here to show Jamaica new Maybach Music star Magazeen and what he can do," Ross said. “And we’re going to take advantage of being here to get the real Jamaican flavor for our videos to show the world."

50 Cent made the announcement during an interview backstage at the Coke Live Festival, in Cracow, Poland last night (August 22).
The last confirmed release date for the album had been September 29 and prior to that, September 11.

50, who has recorded and the re-recorded BISD, also revealed that a companion movie will come with the rapper’s fourth major studio album.

The California natives, however, do not take credit for the new dance phenomenon. They cite Los Angeles as the birth place.

Pitbull Sued for Australia No-Show

pitbull.jpg Miami rapper Pitbull is being sued by an Australian promoter for allegedly no-showing a 2008 tour.
The suit was filed last week by Suave Productions, and the rapper was served with a Statement of Claim.
The company states that Pitbull (Christian Perez) skipped the event despite receiving half of his concert fee upfront.

According to Suave Productions representative Jamie Fernandez, Pitbull’s actions were a blatant violation of their signed business agreement.

“It’s unfortunate that it had to come to this. I am a huge Pitbull fan. I’ve always been the first person in Perth to play his music, but justice must be done,” Fernandez told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “He can say whatever he wants about why he did not get on the plane but we would rather leave it up to the courts to decide who failed to fulfill their end of the contract.”

Memphis Bleek will release his fifth studio album titled The Process this November via a distribution deal between his own imprint, Get Low Records and Boston-based label Mass Appeal Entertainment.

The Process, which is executive produced by Jay-Z, includes production by Just Blaze and No I.D., while guests that grace the album include Rick Ross, Pharrell Williams, Jay-Z and others.

“The Process has been exactly that; a process. Taking what I’ve learned from a teacher and creating my own school,” Memphis Bleek told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “It’s time for me to handle my own business as a man and Mass Appeal supports the vision. The Boogie Down Production’s “Teacha” said his new spiritual book will help form a new Hip-Hop religion on earth.

"It explores the spirituality of Hip-Hop, the divinity of Hip-Hop. I’m suggesting that in 100 years, this book will be a new religion on the earth,” KRS-One told AllHipHop.com. “Now you talk about controversy, there’s some Christian ministries if you go online, look up some ministers, they dissing right now. ‘Who the hell does he think he is?’ Well, I think I have the authority to approach God directly, I don’t have to go through any religion [or] train of thought. I can approach God directly myself and so I wrote a book called The Gospel of Hip Hop to free from all this nonsense garbage right now. respect the Christianity, the Islam, the Judaism but their time is up.”

Michael Vick Hopes To End Dog Fighting

“…I’m going to let my actions continue to speak louder than my words. And I’m going to still be involved in the community, because I still — regardless of football — would have a voice that can have an impact on kids,” Vick said in an interview with "60 Minutes," “because I’ve been a living example of what not to do.”

On a rural Virgina farm, Vick owned and operated a dog-fighting operation called “Bad Newz Kennels” and authorities found 66 dogs and found eight others that were already deceased. To make amends, Vick has been working closely with Wayne Pacelle, president of The Humane Society of the United States, and former Super Bowl-winning NFL coach Tony Dungy.

A_Walk.jpg A teenager who was wanted for his role in a violent shooting last month during Trae Day has turned himself in to authorities.

Albert Walker Mondane surrendered to Houston police officers on Friday (August 14) according to police representatives.

Mondane, 19, also goes by the name “A-Walk.”

He was wanted in connection with the shooting, which occurred during the event, which was held to honor Houston rapper Trae tha Truth and his community service work.

C-Murder Sentenced To Life Without Parole Today

C_Murder.jpg Rap star Corey “C-Murder” Miller was officially sentenced to life in prison today (August 14) for killing a 16-year-old teenager inside a Jefferson Parish nightclub.

On Tuesday (August 11) a jury found Miller guilty of shooting and killing Steven Thomas inside of the club, after an altercation with Miller and several other men in January of 2002.
Miller’s attorney Ron Rakosky asked Judge Jans Liljeberg for a retrial, but the judge refused the request yet again, paving the way for Miller, 38, to be sentenced to life in prison, without the possibility of parole.

alfamega With former T.I. protégé vehemently denying accusations that he was a late 90’s informant, the website Smoking Gun has released further damning evidence against the Georgia rapper.
In May, the Smoking Gun first published reports that Alfamega, real name Cedric Zellars, testified in 1996 against Georgia drug dealer Ali Baaqar in exchange for receiving 18 months off his 9 year prison sentence.

When the information was verified, T.I. promptly kicked his former close friend out of his Grand Hustle camp via a written letter.

Since then, Alfamega has broke his leg in police chase, and launched a diss track and letter at T.I. over his dismissal.

Carolina_Hurricanes.jpg An emcee from Raleigh, North Carolina has found himself in a federal lawsuit over a 2007 dedication song to the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes are suing Tyrone Banks for trademark violations over the track “Carolina Hurricanes,” which the rapper promoted as “the official Carolina Hurricanes song.”

The Hurricanes did concede the rapper approached them first about promoting the selection during home games.

In court records, the team states they utilized the song during online, TV, and game segments.

Additionally, the Hurricanes brought Banks to a game where they displayed his name and flashed his face on the video screen when the song was played.

Rapper 50 Cent Comments On Busing Children To Amusement Park
