After watching his sophomore release The Inspiration reach platinum status, Young Jeezy is preparing to launch the first act off his Corporate Thugz Entertainment (CTE) roster USDA.

Now Jeezy is making executive moves, readying the release of CTE’s first act USDA (United Streets D-Boys of America).

 Wayne Bridges, the father of Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, died from unknown causes early this morning (Feb. 25) in Atlanta, GA.

"He introduced me to all of my major musical influences and he will live on through me," Ludacris told AllHipHop.com. "He bought me my first Hip-Hop record when I was five years old and I fell in love with it from that day on."

10 years after his passing, Bad Boy Records continues to pay tribute to the label’s flagship artist, with plans to release a Notorious B.I.G. Greatest Hits album this March.

Bad Boy Records has announced that they will release Notorious B.I.G.’s Greatest Hits on March 6, which coincides with the 10th anniversary of Biggie’s murder. The album features 15 standout tracks from assorted B.I.G. releases and appearances as well as two previously unreleased tracks.

As his song "Throw Some D’s" continues to gain popularity, Rich Boy is currently gearing up for the release of his self titled debut album.

Set for release next month, the album features appearances by David Banner, John Legend, Big Boi of OutKast, vocalist Keri Hilson, and others. Meanwhile, the disc’s production is supplied by Polow Da Don, Lil Jon, Brian Kidd and Needlez.

On the heels of releasing his fourth album From Nothin’ To Somethin’, Fabolous chopped it up about his new record, last years shooting, and his relationship with label head Jay-Z.

It’s official. Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff will not be sentenced to death. After days of testimony from the victim’s families and character witnesses, the jury has decided that Supreme should spend life in prison.

Supreme McGriff, the man who founded the notorious early-80’s drug crew, The Supreme Team, will be spending the rest of his life behind bars for conspiring to murder aspiring Queens rapper E-Money Bags and a former associate Troy Singleton. McGriff’s life sentence came today on the heels of the death sentence that was given to cop killer Ronnell Wilson in separate federal death penalty case.

Following 50 Cent’s recently released a diss video "Funeral Music" aimed at Dipset Don Cam’ron, Cam has returned fire at the G-Unit boss in a song entitled "Cuurrttiissss."

"Funeral Music" opens with a hearse rolling by with the words "Cam’ron’s Career" on it and later mimics both Jim Jones’ "We Fly High" as well as mocking the incident in which Cam’s blue Lamborghini was shot up during Howard University’s homecoming weekend on Washington,D.C.

Styles P will release his next album through Koch Records, sources confirmed to SOHH today.

Styles parted ways with Interscope Records earlier this year, within a month of the release of his second album Time Is Money. A follow up to Styles P’s highly acclaimed 2002 release A Gangsta and a Gentleman, the sophomore album endured a number of delays before finally hitting shelves on December 19.

Barely a week after having a heated argument with Cam’ron on the radio, 50 Cent has released a video taking shots at the Diplomat honcho.

50 appeared on Angie Martinez’s Hot 97 radio show last week and while discussing with Lox member Styles P, the G-Unit boss claimed he could stop a record from coming out at Koch Records. Moments later, Cam’ron would call into question 50’s statement and inquire why he would allow his own artist, Mobb Deep’s Prodigy, to sign with a label he referred to as a "graveyard".

Dr. Dre has reportedly signed a multiyear feature producing deal with New Line Cinema for his newly formed film company, Crucial Films.

"This is a natural switch for me, since I’ve directed a lot of music videos," Dre told Daily Variety. "And I eventually want to get into directing."

Since leaving Cash Money Records, New Orleans rapper B.G. has enjoyed success on his independent label Chopper City Records. Now he hopes to introduce his crew, the Chopper City Boyz, to the same level of notoriety.

Chopper City Boyz’ VL Mike, Gar, Sniper and Hakim (B.G.’s younger brother, who has appeared on recordings with Lil’ Wayne, Turk and Mac 10 previously) are set to release their debut album We Got This on February 27. While B.G. is featured heavily on the album, the Chopper City CEO expressed confidence in the group’s ability to maintain their own presence.

After enjoying the success of his debut album The People’s Champ, Houston’s own Paul Wall is prepping his highly anticipated sophomore disc set to be released this spring.

The album, entitled Get Money, Stay True, is slated for an April 3 release on SwishaHouse/Asylum. According to Billboard, the rapper recorded portions of his sophomore disc while at Willie Nelson’s studio in Austin, TX. The record’s lead single, "Break ‘Em Off" is currently at radio stations nationwide and has been gaining momentum as a result of a strong presence on various mixtapes.

G-Unit affiliate Mazaradi Fox discusses his recent stint in prison, his new album and his opinion on Cam’ron and The Game.

"Me and Fif grew up together as kids. [Tony] Yayo is my pop’s man, they hung together," says Fox of his ties to the Unit. " One day, my man said ‘Fif been asking about you.’ He said that he’d be back for me in five days and, five days later, I was G-Unit."

Originally due in late November, rapper Young Buck’s sophomore album, "Buck the World," is back on track for a March 20 release via G-Unit/Interscope. Buck, who told Billboard.com just a few weeks before the planned Nov. 28 release date that "When everything is feeling right, then I’ll release it," says he feels the world is now ready for the album.

"I think I created a masterpiece here," the Tennessee native said in a statement. "I put my heart in it and I think my fans are gonna love it."

Universal Music Group named Jermaine Dupri the new president of urban music for Island Records today (February 7).

According to Billboard.com, the hip-hop mogul, who has produced hits for artists such as Mariah Carey, Usher, Bow Wow and Da Brat, is set to take over the position at Island, after vacating his post at Virgin Records. Dupri recently stepped down from his position as president of urban music at Virgin, apparently after the lackluster sales of Janet Jackson’s latest release 20 Y.O., which Dupri co-executive produced.

 Fueled by his hit single "Ridin’," Houston, TX rapper Chamillionaire was recently recognized for being one of the biggest selling Ringtone artist to date, with over 4 million ringtone sales.

Arriving in stores via Chamillitary Entertainment/Universal Motown, the new album features production from Three Six Mafia, Rick Rock, Play N Skillz, The Runners, JR Rotem, Kane Beatz, and Disco D, who recently committed suicide.

 Shawn "Mic Lord" Austin, a personality on Hip-Hop station 103 Jamz, died from unknown causes, according to local reports.

Austin, a New Jersey native, became a part of the Boodah Brothers morning show in 2004 for his ability to tell jokes and his rapping skills.

 Anyone wondering whether Wu-Tang Clan rapper/producer RZA will resurrect his rhyming alter ego Bobby Digital for another musical run can rest easy.

"Yeah yeah, I’m wilin’ out," RZA told AllHipHop.com. "I just got serious about it for the last two months really. We buggin’ out on there. We having a good time, Grizzly Adams style. It’s grizzly."
