Dr. Dre’s long-awaited Detox release is beginning to take shape as the producer is seen in a new Dr. Pepper commercial offering fans a short snippet of a track from the album.

While only a few seconds, the Doc is seen on an upcoming television spot hyping anticipation.

The rap impresario will appear in an ad for a major soda company — one that has some experience with long-awaited albums that can never possibly live up to your expectations. The clip will start airing on national television June 1. The ad features a bit of Detox, but don’t get too excited. It’s only about eight seconds of a slow groove, and the crowd seems more interested in getting down with the soda than Dr. Dre. You can view the ad below, but we suggest just waiting until Detox sees release, so you won’t forever associate the long-awaited album with some soda pop. It will supposedly be out by the end of 2009.

Dre is also seen on the commercial promoting his signature headphones.

"Where amazing happens" doesn’t just take place on the NBA courts — it also happens in Kanye West’s studio. The Grammy winner says Jay-Z’s long-percolating Blueprint 3 will be well worth the long wait the MC’s fans have been enduring.

"Jay is in control of everything in his domain," Kanye, the album’s producer, said last week during a promotional visit for his book, "Thank You and You’re Welcome."

"He’s just been working on it, and it’s gonna be amazing when he drops it. I think it’s good he’s taking his time to give people the best product possible and not being rushed by this fast-food, media-outlet, Internet, everything-is-getting-leaked, people-stealing your-songs-before-you-can-mix-them-and-put-them-online world we’re living in right now."

Kanye revealed that he and Jay went back in and made some alterations to B3 since they first started.

"I think we’re absolutely in a great space, considering his project is where it’s at, #1. And it’s working," 50 said about the "monster" that is him, Eminem and Dr. Dre. "Until they find a collaboration of artists that work together as well as we work together, I don’t think we got issues."

50 said he and the two guys that signed him work so well together because everybody knows their roles.

"One of the most important portions of our relationships is us understanding our positions," Fif explained. "I’m like King Kong when I’m by myself, and when [me, Em and Dre] come back, come together, I’m actually the smallest person in our circle. I get a chance to be down to earth."
