Akon Hates Foreign Customs: “We Got Treated Harsh Cause We Had U.S. Passports”
Crossing international customs has never been a walk in the park, but it was apparently harder this past year- especially for americans. No stranger to international traveling, Akon, who spends plenty of time touring overseas, says foreign customs have increasingly been prejuidice to americans.
Styles P Hates The Word Swagger: “Guys Be So Focused On Swag It Makes Them Like Girls”
Whether it was rappers talking about it in interviews or spitting about it in songs like T.I. and Jay-Z’s “Swagga Like Us” featuring Kanye West and Lil Wayne, the word swagger got plenty of play in 2008. It seemed like everyone was either talking about their own swag or had a take on someone else’s. Some, though, like Yonkers MC and Lox member Styles P, didn’t quite understand where all the excitement around the word came from.
“It’s not even the use of the word that bothers me, it’s the abuse of the word that bothers me,” SP told XXLMag.com. “Jesus Christ! Just let it go a little bit. Lean off of it a little bit.”

T-Pain’s stock has apparently risen courtesy of Diddy.
As previously reported, T-Pain, who has given Diddy permission to use Auto-Tune, will be receiving half a point on the mogul’s next album.
“I just wanna voice that, this stuff just happened,” Pain said in a youtube clip after Diddy announced he was going to use Auto-Tune on his next album. “I didn’t do it. It’s just Diddy. I just wanna announce that show prices are going up, features…This takes everything to a whole nother level. All the people spreading rumors, saying T-Pain charges $100,000 for a show…I actually do now.”
The clip starts with Diddy claiming to officially have permission to use Auto-Tune. The mogul then reveals his reasoning for awarding Pain with royalties off the album. “He didn’t negotiate with me,” Diddy said, “but as a gracious offer of gratitude, I’m giving him half a point on my album just because …Cause I got extra points too.”
“I know there’s a list of cats that he’s given permission to Ye, Wayne, Chris Brown and now myself,” he continued. ”That’s not pro-rated. That’s off the point off the album just because he let me dabble in the tune. It’s called graciousness, motherfuckas.”

Ludacris Brings Out Dipset And Jadakiss In NYC
Ludacris celebrated his album’s release in New York City last night (11/26). One day after Theater Of The Mind hit stores, Luda took the stage at Highline Ballroom in the big apple.
The mouth of the south performed favorites like “What’s Your Fantasy,” “Southern Hospitality” and “Move Bitch” as well as songs off the new album like ”I Do It For Hip-Hop” sans Nas. Still, Luda pulled out the big guns for the right cuts. The Atlanta lyricist brought T-Pain out for a rendition of “I’m So Hood” RMX and “One More Drink.” Luda then went back in time for “Phatty Girl” featuring LL Cool J and actually brought out the G.O.A.T. Uncle L then went into his own little set with “Headsprung” and “Rock The Bells.”
Cris then uped the ante by bringing out Jadakiss on Nas’ “Made You Look” RMX, again, without God’s son. Cris later brought the house down when he brought Jim Jones and Juelz Santana out. The Diplomats got things started with “Pop Champagne” and ”We Fligh High” before closing out their brief set with “I Really Mean It” and Dipset Anthem.”
